Message from Kari Polany-Levitt (Emerita Professor of Economics at McGill University, Montreal) to the Karl Polanyi Center for Global Social Studies.
On April 23. I was in Seoul, South Korea, for the opening of a Karl Polanyi Institute Asia. It is remarkable that the importance of the work of my father Karl Polanyi was celebrated almost simultaneously in Budapest on April 23 and in Seoul, on April 24, 2015.
I send you a photo of the unveiling of the KP Institute Asia. The person who joined me in the official ceremony is the mayor of the city of Seoul, Mr. Park Won-Soon. Please accept my congratulation on your initiative in the establishment of the Karl Polanyi research centre at Corvinus University.
