Karl Polanyi Research Centre among the organizers of the 2020 Food Sovereignty Forum
The Forum is an opportunity for organizations and individuals interested in questions of food sovereignty to come together and discuss the most pressing issues. It addresses the specific challenges of food sovereignty in Hungary, and the next steps we should take in organizing a movement.
In the morning, the diverse group of organizers introduce themselves and present their contributions to the food sovereignty movement. In the afternoon, discussions continue in thematic groups, organized around topics such as global and local aspects of food sovereignty, small producers, collectives and cooperatives, agro-ecology and waste management.
The event is in Hungarian, but the workshop session includes a group for English speakers.
